THE FOREST SPA AT GLENDORN

The Forest Spa at Glendorn offers signature services including a fresh facial, tandem massage, or a lavender and lemongrass manicure and pedicure for their overnight guests.

The Wine Lover’s Body Treatment, a Tuscan wine therapy treatment, begins with a lymphatic stimulating dry brushing followed by an exfoliation using crushed grape seeds and blackberry fibers all while red wine mingles in this innovative brew to gently polish the skin. Santo Vido Natural Wellness Center is a natural wellness store with a variety of products and services to improve your health. Offering personalized service, their staff will listen to your health concerns and offer you specific recommendations of vitamins and herbal supplements to benefit your health. HISTORY TRAIL – HIGHLANDS OF THE ALLEGHENIES

Experience another way of life as you tour the historic attractions nestled within the Allegheny National Forest Region. Smethport’s Mansion District Walking Tour is a self-guided tour of a charming Victorian Village located along scenic Route 6. It offers a short history of over 30 architectural gems constructed during the 1800s. Plan time to catch a milkshake or chow down on a delicious burger at the historic Route 6 Diner, 423 West Main Street, Smethport, PA. Call ahead to check hours: 814-887-6900.

Before Fallingwater there was Lynn Hall, now open for tours and undergoing restoration. This architectural gem located along Pennsylvania Route 6 just east of the village of Smethport, set empty for years. The builder of Lynn Hall incorporated many of the architectural features first used in Lynn Hall into the famous Frank Lloyd Wright building Fallingwater located in Pittsburgh. 21656 Route 6, Port Allegany, PA. Nearby, the Eldred WWII Museum is history you can see, touch and feel. The professionally done exhibit halls portray the bravery of the soldiers who fought in World War II. The museum is suitable for all ages. Upstairs is an extensive research library for those seeking to expand their knowledge. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10am-4pm, and Sunday 1pm-4pm.

In Eldred you will also find the Old Schoolhouse Village Shoppes. Plan another fun day indoors with a visit to the Zippo/Case Museum. Bradford, Pennsylvania is where the original Zippo lighter was invented and is still proudly manufactured. The museum showcases Zippo advertising art throughout the decades along with an interesting variety of exhibits including “Zippo in the Movies.”  The second icon showcased is the popular collectible and functional Case knife which is also manufactured in Bradford. With free admission, and an extensive company store, you’ll enjoy viewing the many faces of these two American Icons. Hours are Monday through Saturday 9am-5pm, and Sunday 11am-4pm.

Bradford’s National Historic District offers visitors a wide choice of family owned restaurants and shops to visit. Dining choices include Mexican, American, Italian, or Mediterranean. You can also take a flashback to the 80’s by dining at A Slice of the 80’s. This fun theme restaurant offers pizza, subs, salads, and a wide selection of delicious wings. Enjoy a first-run movie while snacking on butter popcorn in the recently updated Main Street Movie House. The marquee out front is the classic movie house façade from years gone by, and the theater itself is located in the Hooker-Fulton building, a prime example of Art Deco architecture. GUIDED ATV RENTAL TOURS

Open year round, the ATV trails at Majestic Kamp & Lost Trails offers over 51 miles of trails. You can trailer your own ATVs to ride for one price for the day, or you can book a guided ATV rental tour using their equipment. “DO THE LOOP”

The number one exciting trip into the snow-covered mountains of the Alleghenies is riding on a snowmobile over the 224 miles of groomed trails that loop through the Allegheny National Forest. This trail takes you out into remote areas of the forest brimming with wildlife and beautiful winter landscapes. Trail connections can be made from “The Loop” onto the New York trails in Allegany State Park. You will need to have a Pennsylvania snowmobile registration to ride in Pennsylvania, and a New York registration to ride in New York. Registration for Pennsylvania snowmobiling can be done online at www.dcnr.state.pa.us/forestry/snowmobile/registration.
