Now in its 9th year, United Way’s Ski Day at HoliMont couples great skiing with a great cause. United Way of Cattaraugus County helps to fund organizations like the YMCA, Red Cross, the Special Olympics and many more - so support is always needed. And what better way to do it than with a ski day? This year’s event is scheduled for Thursday, March 2.
For $60, you’ll enjoy a continental breakfast, an all-day lift ticket, lunch from Dina’s (at the Mont), a long-sleeve event t-shirt and entry into the poker run. At the end of specific runs, a volunteer will be waiting for you to pick a card out of a deck. They’ll mark it on your lift ticket, and the person who has the best natural poker hand will win a box knife set from CUTCO.
If you don’t want to take advantage of Dina’s lunch or the free t-shirt, you can buy an event ticket for $40 (but Dina’s food is really tasty, so you should probably just get a ticket for $60). United Way was quick to mention how greatly they appreciate the donations and help that all sponsors provide - between HoliMont hosting, CUTCO for the knives, Dina’s for the delicious food, and all of the volunteers involved. They’re still looking for another sponsor, so if you’re a business owner that would like to get involved, contact Gail Smith at the United Way of Cattaraugus County at 716-372-3620.
