Send your sweet tooth to paradise

Send your sweet tooth to paradise at Cupcaked, Ellicottville’s new bakery! Owners Anne and Scott Coe welcome you to their beautiful bakery, where they serve a wide variety of delicious treats and offer a full range of event planning services. This holiday season is the perfect time to try a new treat, order your desserts or get started planning a spring wedding, and the Coes can make it all happen!

Cupcaked celebrated its Grand Opening this past fall, but Anne’s passion for baking actually started much earlier than that. As a young girl, Anne spent lots of time baking with her grandmother, Sue Magara, who was an avid baker, herself. Anne continued cultivating her passion for baking over the years and pursued a career in the food industry, working as a banquet captain and restaurant manager after obtaining a degree in Event Planning from Lock Haven University.

Anne soon recognized a need for quality locally made desserts, and her co-workers, who enjoyed Anne’s signature cupcakes, encouraged her to pursue her passion for baking. Beginning in April, Anne focused on promoting her baked goods on social media and in the area by setting up at local farmer’s markets and festivals, donating her baked goods to local charities and participating in food competitions. On September 28, Anne and her husband opened Cupcaked at 22 Monroe Street in Ellicottville - the icing on the cake!

Cupcaked is known for their incredible variety of delicious cupcakes; there are more than 30 different flavor combinations! Anne has taken cupcake baking far beyond simply chocolate or vanilla, as Irish Car Bomb, Maple Bacon, Mint Chip and White Russian are just a few of the unique flavors that she bakes. Customer favorites include Chocolate Peanut Butter as well as Raspberry Delight - vanilla cupcake with raspberry injection, vanilla buttercream frosting and raspberry drizzle.

Of course, gourmet cupcakes are not the only treat available at the Ellicottville bakery. Cupcaked also serves cookies, brownies, scones, cakes and many other mouth-watering baked goods. Anne is pleased to introduce some new goodies this holiday season: “We are offering pies, both regular and mini size, for the Thanksgiving season and holiday season. We also will be offering a cookie decorating kit for families to do over the holiday season, which includes cookies, buttercream and sprinkles. Also, we will be offering seasonal cutouts, holiday flavored and decorated cupcakes, as well as assorted dessert platters.”

Short on time this holiday season? Let Cupcaked provide all the tasty treats for your holiday gatherings, whether it’s a family dinner or a work event. Anne is taking orders now for Christmas goodies (the last day to order is December 23 with pick-up on the 24th).

If wedding bells are in your future, give Cupcaked a call to kick off your plans! Cupcakes and traditional wedding cakes are available to order, and Anne is pleased to offer a full range of event planning services through her business. Several packages are available including Day-of-Event Coordinating, Month of Coordinations, Full Wedding Planning and even hourly planning. The most popular service Anne offers is Day-of-Event coordinating, where she works hard to organize the ceremony, set up the reception hall, arrange the buffet and desserts, decorate, light candles and any other “day of” details that need to be taken care of.

Anne is pleased to welcome visitors to her bakery and has thoroughly enjoyed the warm welcome she has received from the community. “Even though we have only been open since September 28, the response from the village has been unbelievably supportive,” she said. “My favorite part of this first year has been how much the community has embraced us.”
