Matt Canale has worked with wood for as long as he can remember. Like with most kids at a young age, he found joy in the simplest of things - swinging a hammer and pounding nails into a board. But while most adolescents leave that passion at a hammer and nail, Canale’s passion for woodworking grew. Graduating from his grandfather’s basement to helping his handyman father around their house, he ultimately found a career path in it.

Singer songwriter Peter Cetera has accomplished what few artists have in the music business … succeed at a very successful solo career, since 1986, and preceding that as the lead singer, bass player and songwriter for the multi platinum group Chicago. Cetera will be kicking off the 2017 concert season when he makes a stop at the Seneca Allegany Event Center in Salamanca on Saturday, January 7 for one show only.
Arthur J. Roscoe first came to Allegany State Park in 1925 after graduating from Syracuse University. In 1930 he got a permanent job as a Park Forester. In 1956 he was promoted to Assistant Regional Director. He held that position until he retired in 1968. During his time at the Park, Mr. Roscoe was instrumental in the development of skiing activities at the State Park and as a result, in 1979, he was honored by the Park when it dedicated the cross country ski trail system in his honor.
